Lead our Floreat venue to victory! General Manager role at The Sporting Globe fun, fast-paced, and full of sports excitement!

We are seeking an experienced Operator to manage a large and fast-paced venue in Floreat with a focus on continuing to strategically grow the venue. As a Manager at TSG, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, leading a team, and driving the success of our organisation. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive working environment, optimising productivity, and achieving business goals.

The Sporting Globe Bar and Grill is a popular sports bar and grill chain that offers function, casual dining, and a large bar space with TAB based in Australia. With locations across the country, it has become a destination for sports enthusiasts, offering a unique dining experience and live sports entertainment.

At The Sporting Globe, you'll find a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, reminiscent of a sports stadium. The venue is designed with large screens and TVs strategically placed throughout the space, ensuring patrons can catch every thrilling moment of their favourite sports events while sitting comfortably with their private booths and tv.  You can expect to find it broadcast here from all over the world, whether it's football, cricket, rugby, basketball, UFC or any other sport.

The Role:

Leadership and Management 

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the entire staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of all departments, such as the kitchen, functions, food and beverage, maintenance, and other day-to-day tasks that might come up.
  • Ability to build rapport with the local community while activating innovative promotions to build sales. 

Customer relations 

  • Monitor online reviews and feedback platforms to assess guest sentiment and take appropriate actions to enhance the establishment's reputation while building up our loyalty program and creating great relationships with our loyal customers. 
  • Build relationships with the local community while enhancing our in house membership program.

Financial Management

  • Review and approve financial transactions, such as invoices, payroll, and purchasing orders. 
  • Manage the operating costs of the business to ensure success.

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

What is required?
• 3-5yrs Hospitality Management experience
• Exposure to both Bar and Restaurant environments
• Experience in controlling the financial aspects of a business
• The ability to lead, train and develop a team
• RSA, RSG, TAB Basics & Advanced preferred but not essential.
• First aid certificate is preferred but not essential
• Approved Managers Certificate preferred but not essential
